This is useful if the information is provided in separate columns and you need to combine them. <em><strong>DATE<\/strong><\/em> will take the year, month and day and convert them to a single serial number representing the date. The result is automatically formatted as a date.<br>The general function to <strong>convert numbers<\/strong> into a <strong>date<\/strong> is <em><strong>=DATE(year, month, day)<\/strong><\/em>.<br>Ensure that the data you are working with in your Excel worksheet looks similar to the screen capture in <em><strong>Step 1<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Date Function: How-to<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">STEP<\/span> 1<\/span><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Select cell <strong>E6<\/strong>, then type in <strong>=DATE(D6,C6,B6)<\/strong>.
