Xero Training Courses

We offer instructor-led Xero training covering Xero Accounting for day-to-day bookkeeping (invoicing, bank reconciliation, GST) and Xero Payroll for paying staff and reporting through Single Touch Payroll. Courses run at beginner through to more advanced levels, and can be booked individually or as a discounted Xero training package.

No. Our beginner Xero courses are designed for business owners, administrators and office staff with no formal accounting background, and we explain the bookkeeping concepts as we go. If you already work in bookkeeping or finance, you will simply move through the early material faster. Whatever your starting point, our trainers make sure everyone finishes confident and no one is left behind. If Xero is completely new to you, you are welcome to repeat the course free of charge within eight months, which many participants find helps the material stick.

All our Xero courses are live and instructor-led, never pre-recorded. You work through hands-on exercises with a trainer present to answer questions about your own situation. Class sizes are kept small so everyone gets individual attention, which is the main advantage over self-paced online videos.

We run in-class Xero training at our Sydney and Melbourne training centres, with fully set-up computer labs so you do not need to bring a laptop. We also deliver Online Live Xero courses across Australia, including Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart and Darwin, with the same trainer-led format.

You do not need a paid Xero subscription, but you do need a Xero login. If you are not already subscribed, create a free trial account on the Xero website before the course and bring those credentials with you. Many attendees use the trial to decide whether to subscribe afterwards. For Online Live courses, we email joining instructions two business days before your class, including the Microsoft Teams link and download links for the training resources.

Yes. You receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of your Xero course, which can be used as evidence of continuing professional development. Each course carries CPD hours based on its duration. Bookkeepers and BAS agents commonly use our courses towards their CPE requirements.

Yes. Our Xero courses are taught in an Australian context, covering GST coding, Business Activity Statement preparation, PAYG withholding, superannuation and Single Touch Payroll reporting to the ATO. This is a key difference from generic international Xero tutorials, which often miss Australian compliance requirements entirely.

Every attendee receives a course manual to keep, free email support from our trainers, and free repeat classes for up to eight months from your original course date. The re-sit option is popular with people who want to consolidate their Xero skills once they have used the software on their own data.
