Power BI Report Design Course

Cours was valuable and Paul did a great job making sure everyone was able to follow along, despite doing it online. He had many good tips to share and cared about us understanding the content. He was very knowledgeable and clearly enjoys the teaching process. He kept to time well and overall a very pleasent experience.

This course was very practical and hands on - the instructor guided us through each section of the course in detail and didn’t just explain the steps, but the why behind them. I find this very helpful personally, as the context helps it all sink in. We covered a lot of content in a day! Examples / scenarios were drawn from the participants contexts, which also made it interesting and engaging. The instructors communication throughout was great - he made sure no one fell behind. He also kept it light with some related jokes and stories. This was also a great way to keep a small group engaged across a full day.

The course was really informative and gave a good overview of how to detail a broad range of graphs and charts. I will use this information to better design my data and reporting at an organisational level.

I got a lot of value from this course - I thought it was well paced and covered more than just your basic visuals but made it a bit more interesting and that step further than what you would figure out on your own. Particularly enjoyed the use of tabs and hidden layers of information and bookmarks. Cath was really easy to understand and spoke at a great pace to ensure everyone could keep up. There were only a few times when I felt the gap between asking if everyone was keeping up wasn't long enough to turn your mic back on and say something if you were behind and trying to balance actioning advice and following along the shared screen. I think the use of putting a hand up when you've done something was really useful as it slowed it down when needed to ensure everyone was keeping up.

I enjoyed the course and whilst pace was fast for me or my skillset. I could still keep up and be able to see how the process would apply to my data. I will practice from here and work with my data to find ways to get to my end result

Good content and experienced teacher - Willing to find out answers if not known on the spot. I think the pace was ok, could be faster. I understand you have a range of people to think about but I wouldn't make it any slower.

Of all the corporate training I've done Cath was the best instructor I've ever had, she moved through the content at a great pace that seemed appropriate for everyone's skill level, and was very engaged in ensuring that no one was left behind. The examples and course content were also enjoyable and practical.

The course provided basic fundamentals to allow dashboard creation in practical situations, particularly for me as I have not had experience in Power BI to date.

Adam was fabulous, I learned so much. Power BI is a great tool and i look forward to using it to make financial dashboards.
